Ramon Ulises Mares, PMHNP-BC
Ramon Ulises Mares, PMHNP-BC, is a bilingual healthcare professional fluent in both Spanish and English. Born in Mexico City and raised for much of his life in Atlanta, Georgia, Ulises proudly calls Georgia home.
His career in healthcare began in 2013 when he earned his certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and began working in hospice care, where he developed a deep passion for supporting patients and families during vulnerable moments.

From 2015 to 2017, Ulises attended Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. While pursuing his degree, his dedication to helping others led him to gain valuable hands-on experience working at Memorial Hospital as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) and at Coastal Harbor as a Mental Health Technician (MHT).

Ulises spent eight years working as an Operating Room Registered Nurse. During this time, he observed the profound emotional and psychological impact that illness can have on patients and their families. Motivated to provide more comprehensive care, he returned to school to further his education in mental health.

Ulises attended Mercer University in Atlanta, where he earned his Master’s degree and became a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). He is passionate about supporting patients’ mental health and providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care.
Today, Ulises lives in Lilburn, Georgia. Outside of work, he enjoys summer cookouts, spending time with family, and caring for his newborn baby nephew.
