Philip Sangster, PA-C grew up in Monroe, GA. He received his undergraduate degree from UGA, and then he earned a Master's degree from the Mercer University Physician Assistant program. Philip practiced in Atlanta prior to joining ABM in 2023.  He is excited to be back in Athens and to serve patients in the northeast Georgia area where he was raised and attended college.

Philip has always been passionate about mental health, and one of his career goals is to help to change the stigma associated with mental health and to help people realize it’s okay to ask for help. He enjoys the fact that Psychiatry allows him to form a therapeutic relationship with each patient that he feels seems to be deeper and more meaningful than that of other medical specialties.

​

Philip’s hobbies include going to the gym, hiking, attending concerts, basketball, pickle ball, and going to the lake in the summertime.
